CARS Marketing Best Practices

Every day, life creates circumstances where a supporter no longer needs a vehicle. Frequency is the key to being there for your donors when they are ready to give. To maximize your exposure and revenue, consistently include your program in three or more places at all times by advertising on a variety of marketing channels.

Add to Your Website

Supporters cannot make a donation If they are unable to find your program quickly on your website (i.e. Donate and Other Ways to Give). We recommend 3 clicks or less!

Announce Your Program

Send an Internal Announcement to your team. Don't miss a vehicle donation because someone didn't know about your program. Include your vehicle donation program in an upcoming staff newsletter or place flyers or rack cards in a communal space.

Send a Dedicated Email

Email marketing is one of the most effective methods of spreading awareness. Emails have a longer shelf life than most other outreaches, as they are forwarded, flagged and kept in mind for extended periods of times. Include your program in every email and newsletter to act as a subtle reminder to your supporters.

1-3 times a month post graphics and videos on all active social media channels that promote your program. Peak posting times include mornings and evenings during the week.
